THE NEW ROMANTICS

70s 80s Retro Party Cover Band Melbourne

The New Romantics are a hilarious parody show of the most pretentious and most colourful period of popular music, the New Romantic era of the 1970s and 1980s.

The New Romantics are fronted by the craziest and naughtiest lead singer you will ever meet in Timmy Mangina. Timmy is ably supported by guitarist singer with high voice and big hair Christophe LeBon, keyboard wizard Alan Ant, Boy John on drums and Spandau Barry on bass.

The New Romantic era was defined by bands such as Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Culture Club, Human League and many more. Think outrageous frilly costumes, big hair, lots of girly makeup on men and music dominated by electronic drums and synths. If there is one decade in modern pop music that is clearly defined it is the 1980s – great sounding music that is great to singalong and dance to.
